Yellow abstract holiday

“Learning to let go should be learned before learning to get. Life should be touched, not strangled. You’ve got to relax, let it happen at times, and at others move forward with it.”
Ray Bradbury

I am always creating, constantly creating. Every day, whenever I can. And it builds and builds, layers and layers of new ideas. This altered book {the turquoise book} was really and truly finished by all independent analysis. A wrap. Complete. Done. But. But I went back through the book and further altered a dozen of the 40+ pairs of pages.

In January, I painted the original orange and yellow pages with heavy body acrylics, highlighting some of the found text and calling it "happy holidays." So I went back and added stitching, and index card, and more. Sometimes I paint over part of a page, cover up one collage element with another. Not in a quest for perfection, but a quest to have 8 zillion layers. Something like that.
