Student Work: Novel Approach Art Journal Workshop
I wanted to share with you some of the gorgeous artwork posted in Facebook group for the Novel Approach altered book workshop. I love that each artist brings a different perspective and experience to their art journal pages.
We start by selecting a book to alter, gather ideas & inspiration and prepare the book for our journal work. So each project evolves in a different way as we work with grids, layering, masking & blending techniques. In Novel Approach workshop and the new Groovy Grunge workshop I share building blocks, techniques that you can use throughout your journal. The better you get to know your materials, the more engaged you will be with your work. In my workshops I share ideas and give you space to approach your pages with an open mind, allowing the work to unfold.
Work shared with permission. The name of the artist is below their work.
