how they stitched the patches of the universe
together into one garment for us.”
Ray Bradbury

Went on a massive tangent into creating mini-grids of mini-patterns. I love them so!

The 365 Somethings Project is a quantitative goal to create 365 of something [and YOU define your own thing that you create - mine is little inked cards] within a calendar year. This is a project I'm doing with Hanna Andersson. If you’ve been playing along with this whirlwind of a project… I hope that you get to that magical ❸❻❺ goal!!!

Doing art consistently helps me feel more balanced. Knowing that, I make time for my art, whether that means squeezing it in or taking an expansive morning at my art desk. So I’ll draw and paint and splatter while while I listen to podcasts or audiobooks. To help keep the chain going, each time I leave my art table, I leave a bunch of inked cards in process or 4-6 blank cards waiting to be filled. That way when I get back the scene is inviting. Why? Read Queue up some creative work.

For the beach-themed cards, I machine stitched the horizontal line {for texture}, masked the stripe, and painted with ink. I made a video about masking thin lines.
