Time for a cosmic reboot!

“You only grow by coming to the end of something and by beginning something else.”
John Irving, The World According to Garp

Your cards can be re-imagined not as perfection zones but rather figuring-out-spaces, magic-makers, playgrounds, 🎡 ferris wheels. Creative projects, some much needed YOU time.

But first, here are my cards for the first full week of the ICAD challenge! Seriously, it's like the twilight zone, I cannot believe that this is actually YEAR No. 7. We're having a veritable ICAD reunion in the FB group and at instagram and flickr too. Thanks everyone for your positive feedback and for playing along with this craziness, the traditions, the camaraderie. You guys are wickedly wonderful.

Time for a cosmic reboot 🕊🌱🌿

Diving in feet first this 7th Index-Card-a-Day season, with just a fragment of a thread of a plan. For the first week, I challenged myself to match art + prompt + music which has been a fun experience. Most of you know that I usually don't follow the prompts, so this stretch felt good.

ICAD #1: [Tequila] Sunrise in gouache on 3x5" index card. Music match: Tequila Sunrise by The Eagles.

ICAD #2: Lost and/or Found in acrylic on 3x5" index card. Music match:  Abandoned Luncheonette by Hall & Oates.

From the warm-ups... a one staple collage on 3x5" index card.

ICAD #3: Vintage one-staple collage on 3x5" index card. Music match: Don Maclean's American Pie.

ICAD #4: Lavender in pencil and gouache on 3x5" index card. Music match: Lighter Shade of Pale by Procol Harem.

ICAD #5: Kawaii/Cute, collage on 3x5" index card. Music match: That's Not My Name by the Ting Tings.

ICAD #6: Detour to an imaginary universe, Dr. Ph. Martin's Bombay inks on 3x5" index card. Check out my review of these inks. Music match: Jack Johnson's Traffic in the Sky.

ICAD #7: Alliteration, mandala in ink and colored pencil on 3x5" index card. Music match: Te Dejo Madrid by Shakira.

A bonus idea from the 95+ Ideas Zine.
