Muse30 Prompt #30

Let's brainstorm some ideas for interpreting the prompt genuine. Real, honest, sincere, flawless, authentic, true. The opposite of fake or counterfeit or artificial. You could create a journal page divided into two parts. On one part, explore your own authentic words, writing, thoughts, documentation. On the other half, use alphabet stamps, a typewriter, print words from the computer, cut found poetry, as if it were manufactured and published. Or tell two stories, one fake, one real. Let the reader guess which is which!

This is one of my favorite prompts - one that can be interpreted in a myriad of ways. You could draw the alphabet in a font that you invent, draw the alphabet with a variety of different writing tools, draw the greek alphabet or perhaps invent an acronym for the entire alphabet {[A]BSOLUTELY [B]ONKERS [C]ANDY [D]EFY [E]NDEAVORS...}.

A park where one can be amused. Whether that is a national or provincial park, soft Kentucky blue grass, green space within an urban metropolis, a county fair, the state fair, any of the rides at an amusement park. You could even hop on a tangent and draw a little park or a map of the Boardwalk in Atlantic City.

Also? Take the words apart... Amused. Park.

Muse30 Prompt #22

For the Muse30 series, you can use the word or the imagery on the graphic as your prompt. Each background is completely different!!! A little brainstorming to start... water, waterway, shore, fish, swimming, bridge, tree swing, high water mark, riverboat, a cruise down the River Thames. Grahame's The Wind in the Willows. You could create a page using lyrics from The River or a song from the album. The River was Springsteen's fifth studio album, it was released in 1980. One of the songs from the album, Hungry Heart, is one of Springsteen's well-known concert sing-alongs.

"So if you shoot only with film, perhaps it is a good idea to bust out your iPhone when taking photos of your cappuccino. And if you only shoot digital on the streets, it might be fun to take the opposite approach and only shoot snapshots of friends and family on film. Experiment and have fun."
Eric Kim
