Each year, Marit challenges artists to create something inspired by the music on the Top 2000 playlist. This Pink Floyd inspired spread is in the altered hardback book that I created between 2012-2015. You can find my page for The Eagles here.

{Editor's note, December 2015: Find a flip-thru of the now finished Noticing Journal.}

Factoid: Comfortably Numb {1979} is #8 in the countdown.

A perfume sample scents the page, that's a first for me! Plus lots of machine stitching, not a rarity.

Inspired by Comfortably Numb {Pink Floyd}

My goal was to create a groovy page with a psychedelic, floaty, trippy feel. The photo on the right was taken at the Fort Worth Stockyards, high windows in a large building housing livestock. Ingredients include photographs, acrylic paint, ephemera, painted papers, gelatin prints, typed quote, washi tape, paint chips, japanese magazine clippings, machine stitching, vintage ephemera from Lauren. The bottom photo shows the very foundation, where the page began. See? You can build your pages from just about any background. You are not limited by your background, it's just another layer. Keep what you like and layer or cover the rest.
