Ampersands and chaos
Here’s the takeaway [lesson learned] from last year’s deep dive into ink abstracts— if you want to get better at a particular form of art or learn how to use a specific medium… seriously, DARE YOURSELF to do a heck of a lot of it. I mean set yourself a STRETCH GOAL.
What to draw zombies or lava lamps or cameras? Get a stack of index cards or a small inexpensive journal and start drawing. You can draw them small or large or in pencil or pen or all of the above. And then just let the work flow wherever it lands.
And if you fizzle out? You have learned that maybe it wasn’t what you thought it would be — or it’s not your thing — or maybe the time isn’t right in your life for THE BIG EXPLORE.
We are always learning, as long as we keep creating.
