365 Somethings #330 - 339

“A deadline gets a writer's work done done better and faster than any inspiration, if only because inspirations don't always come, but the deadline is always there.”
A.A. Patawaran

Fabric is the "twist" for this set of index card artwork. Fabric stitched together and then to the card, and fabric stitched directly to the card. Different results, all yummy. One of my favorite sets of the year.

I started doing teeny tiny fabric collages this summer and finally got the idea of using the little collages in my 365 Somethings Project. Thank you Amy Cowen for the "fishie" fabric scrap, and a bunch of other fabric scraps used in the stitched collages in this post! The cards above labeled, "fabric collage" were done without first stitching the fabrics together, and the cards labeled with the misnomer, "mini-art-quilt" were attached together before attaching to the index card. There's no batting or backing as that would add too much bulk to these tiny cards.

All of the collages are stitched 3x5" index cards.
