Top Picks: Books for Kids 0-12

I've been tracking our favorite books using Amazon Listmania and these lists have been very popular. They are categorized by age and often the same book will span more than one age group. Kids get different things at different ages from the same books. Until the girls started reading independently, we favored children's books with lovely illustrations.

Beautifully Illustrated Books To Read to Children

For Independent Readers

When children read independently they might start with chapter books and continue to short then longer fiction books. My daughters are voracious readers, so I thought you might like to see what books they liked.
