The Great DIY Postcard Swap (Part 2)
Fri, February 19, 2010 at 10:00AM

Just wanted to share some of the postcards from a Mail Art project; Hanna's DIY Postcard Swap! You can see the first phase of the cards at Part One. I started with sheets of bristol paper, painted them with a brayer and Speedball Water-Based Block Printing Inks, cut to ~ 4.5 x 6.5" cards. I made artist trading cards, several with hand sewing, with the remaining scrap paper. Stamped w/handmade eraser stamps, found stamps, added images + words, some neocolors, doodles, personal notes on the reverse, and off to the post office in envelopes (late, I might add).

These postcards are wonderful!
Love how layered they are, with the bubble wrap print on top of images etc. and those words peeking through, making my brain go: what? What's the message here? Thanks for sharing them Tammy!
