Sunshine Mandala | Stop Motion
Sun, May 9, 2010 at 12:32AM Here's a twist on my video of the Athena Mandala in process. This is a stop-motion of the Sunshine Mandala, where the art is photographed every minute or two, when you can see progress in the design. It was photographed with my Nikon D90 DSLR on a tripod, then edited in iMovie and uploaded to Vimeo. Since I'm on the freebie plan I had to wait 30 min for it to upload. So while that was in process I popped over to Flickr and uploaded in a few seconds and used the code from Flickr to embed it in this very post! You can upload photos of a limited size and up to 90 seconds in length to Flickr so this worked great. The little video is also at Vimeo... just in case.

Wow...that's just cool! I've been reading your blog for quite some time, and I love it. You're so genrous with sharing ideas; there's just a wealth of information here!
Tammy, That is awesome!!! You are so SMART to figure all that stuff out!
I love it when you post these. The music was perfect!!
Oh that's very cool. I think I'll try stop motion over the summer.
I love this! So much fun to see the art progress. How long did it take you to do, start to finish?
*Paula, Eden, Sophie + Kat, thank you for your wonderful words. They make me smile! I think the first videos and stop-motions take a good bit of time, just moving up the steep but short learning curve to do basic work.
To answer Kat's question - Elapsed time was about 70 minutes, with several interruptions, naturally... Just found your blog and it's awesome!
