Ribbons in Pencil

My 9 yr old daughter loves to draw ribbons. Her art teacher taught her how to make them look 3-D. To draw a ribbon, you draw one wavy line and then draw another line beside it with waves going roughly the opposite direction. I think they look like pinwheels. My younger daughter said, "They look like crooked stars!" The artist sees tangled balloon ribbons!
