    Remix Mandala

This mandala started as a drawing in Sepia PITT pen (S), with detail with black PITT pen (XS). Some mandalas are cool as B&W and others need color to make them pop. This was the latter, so I watercolored with my little W&N travel paint set(s). It's in a 5.5"x8.5" Canson watercolor journal. The paper is lovely, but after working in the Clairefontaine watercolor journal and the Moleskine watercolor journal I would put Canson in third place if I plan to watercolor. The paint seems to sit on the paper before absorbing, annoying.

You're right, Tammy. Every watercolor paper absorbs the paints differently! This, of course, is wonderful! Hugs, Terri xoxo

I appreciate you telling me your watercolor journal preferences. I've asked my local Art Store if they carry Clairefontaine, but they don't. I want try the square one you talk about! Different size new perspective for me. I love the way you watercolor in your mandala's. So so pretty! I hope you do display them somewhere when your all through.

P.S. There is a lovely square "Hand" watercolor journal that I am going to try, I bought one through Blick.

Eden, My mandalas reside in my journals... but you have a good point. It's something I've been giving some thought - displaying my art - but I haven't taken any action yet.
