Pattern-A-Day #13 - 16

I'm doing a daily challenge for the month of December. No matter what. I will paint patterns. It is calming, the movement of brush on paper, the selection of color, the dipping the brush in water.

All of these are in the Moleskine A4 watercolor journal. I divide the page in half with a vertical line and paint a pattern in each half. Link:  December Pattern-a-Day Challenge with A is for Anika.

The pink + blue leaves are so pleasant to paint, even meditative. Probably my favorite shape to paint after a circle. I did the pink first in a triangle and then decided to add blue to coordinate.

The red symbols are... well, who knows?

The sepia intertwined U's with turquoise is a pattern I'd like to explore further. 

To paint the blue + purple circles, I painted circles with clear water. Then I touched blue to each circle, and then purple. The paint absorbs into the circle and mixes.
