No Frills Prompt 32: Alcove

“Artistic symbols and myths speak out of the primordial, preconscious realm of the mind which is powerful and chaotic. Both symbol and myth are ways of bringing order and form into this chaos.”
Rollo May

A gorgeous painted cabinet in a tea & spice shop.

No Frills Prompts are fresh weekly creative prompts that are simple, flexible and fully customizable. The photograph itself and the word "shadow" can be used together or separately. Use the prompt literally, figuratively, professionally or sarcastically.

IDEAS...

♦ Create an alcove, a pocket, a hidden gem on an art journal page. Tuck something inside.

♦ Create a little box of treasures for yourself, something like a shoe box with comforting items inside. Things like fabric sprayed with your fav perfume, little smooth pebbles, a string of rainbow beads, a poem.

♦ Change the spices in a recipe. Cayenne pepper instead of garlic {at your own risk}? Lime juice instead of lemon? Red wine instead of soy sauce?

Check out the guide to the No Frills Prompts!
