No Frills Prompt 18: Concentric
Fri, April 1, 2011 at 11:25PM ![]()
Creative prompts that are simple, flexible and fully customizable.

gardening hat, straw and stitching detail
Like all of the prompts in this series, this is easy peasy! You can respond in whatever way you wish, but do create something in words or images. The photograph and the word CONCENTRIC can be used together or separately. Don't overthink this, see the intro for help.
Here's how Wikipedia defines Concentric: Concentric objects share the same center, axis or origin with one inside the other. Circles, tubes, cylindrical shafts, disks, and spheres may be concentric to one another. Concentric objects generally have different radii, as concentric objects with the same radius are equal.
IDEAS...
♦ Go on a treasure hunt looking for 5 things with concentric circles or curves
♦ create an art journal background using rust, mustard yellow and gold
♦ spend 12 minutes writing about the meaning of gardening in your life: who taught you how to plant flowers? do you grow any of the food you eat? how much time do you spend in your garden when the weather is pleasant? what is your favorite gardening quote?
♦ draw a doodle which includes concentric circles or concentric curves.
INTERPRETATIONS? ♦ Tammy (me) ♦ Jordan ♦
