No Frills Prompt 1: Perspective
Fri, October 15, 2010 at 02:00AM
New creative prompts that are simple, flexible and fully customizable. These prompts are useful for creatives from collage artists to photographers to art journalists.

a gorgeous weathered fence in Sheila's yard
The first prompt is easy peasy! You can respond in whatever way you wish, but do create something in words or images. The photograph and the word PERSPECTIVE can be used together or separately. Don't overthink this, see the intro for help.
IDEAS...
♦ experiment with perspective by taking a photo of the same thing from 5 different angles
♦ create an art journal background using only grays + greens
♦ design a hand carved eraser stamp in the shape of a fence (here's mine)
♦ do a texture rubbing; lean paper on an interesting wooden fence or tree and shade over the texture in crayon, charcoal or pencil
♦ sketch this photograph

Thank you for this! :)
Love it! Hugs, Terri xoxo
Brill! These are just the sort of prompts I like!! :)
I did my No Frills Prompt today and I'm really pleased that I not only did it but posted it on my blog even though I'm not super happy with it. I really loved the rustic fence and although I had problems with it I just kept working more quickly than I would have normally just to let it flow. Hope you like it.
Thank you for the inspiration.
I did today's too! Thank you so much for these.

Thanks! Each of the prompts will be different... I wanted to start with a fairly easy one to get everyone rolling without scaring anyone off.
If you post your art to the Daisy Yellow Prompts Flickr Group at Daisy Yellow Prompts (Flickr mail me for an invite) or to your blog, I will add your name to the link list above!

Thanks for all the various prompts and inspiration you share so often here!
While posting several pictures from the side of our new living arrangement, I realized that it was showing the perpective from that view.

Mine will show up on my blog tomorrow but if you can't wait, here is the drawing I did. Thanks for these prompts - they're fun! :)
I immediately thought about this picture I took two years ago in Florence wandering between "Ponte Vecchio" and "Galeria de uffizi"...
I know I'm a bit late to the game on these, but i just found them! Here's my take on the perspective prompt!
