Journal Scribbling With Paint

“Her pleasure in the walk must arise from the exercise and the day, from the view of the last smiles of the year upon the tawny leaves and withered hedges, and from repeating to herself some few of the thousand poetical descriptions extant of autumn--that season of peculiar and inexhaustible influence on the mind of taste and tenderness--that season which has drawn from every poet worthy of being read some attempt at description, or some lines of feeling.”
― Jane Austen, Persuasion

Some art journal backgrounds in the 8.25 x 5.5" exacompta "sketchbook" journal with a little collage I've started to add. I like to work a bunch of pages at the same time, I get into a sort of flow. I pretend I'm writing graffiti or chinese characters, making curvy marks and having fun scribbling with with golden fluid acrylics and a small pointed round brush.

More pix from this exacompta journal.

What a great use of color in each of these pages - they're all so appealing and just waiting for the next layer. I haven't played in my journal in awhile but these are reminding me how much fun it can be. Thanks for sharing.
