Happy Watercolors
Tue, June 29, 2010 at 06:00AM "I mused for a few moments on the question of which was worse,
to lead a life so boring that you are easily enchanted,
or a life so full of stimulus that you are easily bored."
— Bill Bryson

This week, spurred by our map-making, I opened up the super-sized 18x24" watercolor journal and sketched a little of everything, shapes, buildings, suns, boxes, doodles. Then I watercolored, added more doodles, more watercolor. The bright colors and thin black lines make me happy.
I'm frustrated with my photos the last week or two. I played around with my camera settings and upload settings, screwed a few things up. Or maybe it's my eyes. Or my monitor. Or the harsh angle of the summer sun. Or bad camera karma. Or weariness. Or all of the above. Anyhow, I think I have to go back to the defaults on the camera and start fresh. Aargh. Double aaaaargh. Where's that magic wand when you need it?
Check out the watercolor doodles from last fall.

You don't see it? It's just there, by your side, the magic wand is waiting for your smile and I bet it will jump right back in your hand. :-) Beautiful sun, and the row of pinks - mmmm!
These pictures look good to me! Love the Sunshine one and the sun and Smile!! The watercolors just POP off the page!! Awesome :D
the smile sunburst is my favorite - it's like lemonade and blueberry lemonade, light and refreshing looking!
Your thin black lines and bright colors make me happy too! Very nice doodles. I love the girls maps too, very creative!
Glad you enjoyed my map : )
