Lots of time at the sewing machine in its new spot upstairs in the guest bedroom. Surroundings do impact creativity. I didn't feel the same spark of energy as the First Stitched Travel Journal (at the dining room table)... but hopefully I'll get used to the new environment.
Our dog curled up on the guest bed in a pocket of warm sunshine and kept me company. Her upstairs exploits typically include eating Barbie arms + random toy parts, yet she seemed quite content in her new spot.
This took LOTS of time and thus, I hereby crown this journal sufficient to meet the certification requirements and six sigma methodology of the esteemed and highly caffeinated judging panel. In other words, this is my big project for today.
I did a bit of watercolors, but didn't get a chance to photograph.
But we did get a chance to see our good friend Laura and eat mediocre chinese take-out.

I laughed at the six sigma comment. :) Beautiful journal!
Tammy... I love these stitched journals.... I have a stack of supplies I've been meaning to use for something similar but just haven't gotten to it. In the 3rd picture there's some lined paper in the upper right hand corner.... would you mind sharing what type of paper it is please?
Thanks, Emie
Melydia, Yes, the result of working for a hi-tech company for many years...
Emie, The lined paper is vintage accounting paper found in my dad's attic!

Thanks Tammy!
