5x8" watercolor moleskine, PITT pen, Gellyrolls, Rapidograph w/J. Herbin Ink
This drawing reminds me of a fortune teller with a sort of celestial feel. This one was magical and fun to draw! I love it. It was drawn in pitt pen (XS) and Rapidograph technical pen with .35 nib and J. Herbin Rose Cyclamin fountain pen ink. I'd set aside the Rapidograph (it was on the counter, horizontal) over a month ago, with J. Herbin ink inside. It was amazing that the ink flowed just like I'd used it the day before, not a second of hesitation! More about drawing with this pen/ink at Ink Experiments #4; more about finding the Rapidograph I'd bought 20 yrs ago at Rapidograph + India Ink. The little rainbow touches were done with gellyrolls, including a few new neons.

I finally bought myself some gelly rolls! Now, I've got to find the neon ones! Very cool mandala. You do such beautiful work!
Gorgeous!! I love the feel of both circle and square!!
oh, beautiful! I have that very ink, I only use it sporadically because it's so bright when used for actual writing. I'll have to try it for drawing instead. I've also never tried putting it in a technical pen - what a great idea!
*Eden, Gelly rolls = wonderfulness. And by the way, you have inspired me to start displaying my art around the house (although I am having trouble deciding what/where/how). Congrats on the new pens.
*Chaotic Beauty, Sometimes the mandalas surprise me, especially when I try something new and it works. I have been doing more mandalas with a square feel. It adds a new element.
*Sophie, Before I used fountain pen ink in the rapidograph, I contacted an ink store and determined it was safe. Couldn't find a definitive answer on the web. I look forward to seeing what you create!
