Explode

We don't want to close a book with a sense that life is totally unfair and that there is no light in the darkness; we want to feel that we have been given illumination."

My two little sickies are cuddled up with the dog on the couch watching Shrek. The dog can spread out from one side to the other so it's a big deal for her to give up couch real estate. This doodle is an explosion of all sorts of chaotic bits, patterns, fonts, slow journaling and suns. Drawn over several days.
So I've had time to attempt to respond to each and every comment for the last few weeks. I read your comments every day (what blogger doesn't?) but it takes me a little longer to write a thoughtful response. You can find the responses within each post's comment section.
Thank you all for taking the time to say hello!

Could you share where this quote came from?
Kate, I peruse a BUNCH of quote sites and books to find quotes for Daisy Yellow, so I'm not sure where I found this but I loved it immediately!

I love this!!! And i totally agree with the quote! Nothing is more disappointing to me than a book that ends flat! Ugh!
I always feel the characters deserve more.
Ohhhh, Tammy! So sorry to hear that your little one's aren't well! Am sending healing vibes your way. Hugs, Terri xoxo
in an odd way, having sick kiddos gives us time for pause, like a snow day, time to catch up and take things slowly. i just hope they're on the mend soon! whenever my kids are sick for too long, then i feel like i'm going to explode!
