Eraser Stamp Patterns

The diamonds in this lovely piece at Amusing Muses are fabulous, so I've been wanting to incorporate diamonds in a piece of art. I carved a diamond stamp and a grid of boxes this week. The last photo shows detail of the diamond stamp with coral stamping ink on the corner of Documented {my FAVORITE hand carved stamp}.

Before you cut the eraser, think about what you want to stamp and what you want to be unstamped. For example, in the gridded boxes, I cut the lines between the boxes to get a grid of squares. Check out carving eraser stamps to see the inverted version, where I drew a grid and cut out the boxes to get an image that looked like a fence or grid.
