Doodle Logic

"Fate is like a strange, unpopular restaurant
filled with odd little waiters
who bring you things you never asked for
and don't always like."
— Lemony Snicket

5x8" sketch moleskine, pitt pen

More doodles from our trip last week... I think this is the last of them! I'm still working on the photos. It's in the same style as the doodle page my daughter and I drew together, but when I look at them they are so different. It's a cool way to try out new patterns and designs and figure out how to draw them, around curves, in small gaps and wide open spaces. And the good part is that if you mess up, it really doesn't matter. Just morph it into something else.

I love these - staring at them and can't really figure out how you make all the elements fit together so neatly! when I try this type of doodle I always have weird sections that just don't....well, look right. But everything here meshes together so well. Just beautiful.

Sophie, Thanks a bunch - try drawing the larger doodles first and then the smaller and details. That works for me.

Great doodles. And I shall try the advice you gave Sophie, thanks for that.

I've already got my 8 year old daughter into doodling & even my 6 year old son has started giving it a go. A couple of times my daughter & I have co-created doodles - she loved doing this.
