Deluxe Adventure
Fri, March 23, 2012 at 11:11PM My daughter's (12) response when the car wouldn't start, "Oh good! We'll have an adventure!"

{i invented a photoshop action i call "psychedelic"}
Crazy day! This morning the girls had an ophthalmologist appointment and then we drove off to school with their wacky groucho marx glasses protecting them from sunlight. We stopped at Sonic for lunch and when I tried to start the engine the dashboard flashed disco lights and the car wouldn't start. The car battery jumper guy popped over and got the car started. So we are the owners of a new battery and never made it to school. A discombobulated day!

Thank you for nominating me! That was a real surprise in the morning. I'm honored!
Congrats on your award Tammy! I love your photos--all those gorgeous-looking washi tapes! I've been catching up on issues of stART this morning and loving them! Have a great weekend full of many more adventures xx
Aw, thanks for including me in your list, Tammy! What an honor! Looking forward to checking all the others you've listed that I'm not already familiar with!
hey, thanks for the award! also, the longer I'm a parent, I'm pretty sure I'm with you on number 5 of your random things list.
I love your daughter's spontaneous response to your car not starting. It reminded me of our begging our mother to "get us lost." (We also asked her to "make us those eggs with the shells in them," i.e. boiled eggs.)
Thank you for including me on your list! What a nice surprise. I wanted to tell you the other day but got distracted (what else is new?!), you inspired me to make a date with myself in the coming week to go to the botanical garden. After looking at your photos I'm inspired to take my sketchbook, watercolors and camera and have fun!
wow - Thanks Tammy! there are some great blogs on your list. I'm honored to be in this company :)
That's a whole lot of linky goodness, Tammy...thanks for so many fun places to visit!
Wow. Wow! What an amazing, sparkly-confetti-moment to read this fabulous list of inspirations — and to be included! :D Thank you kindly for both the list, and for adding me to it! ♥
:) Thank you so much! Your description of RBP's parenthesis made me chuckle. Great list!
You are a total sweetheart, Tammy, thank you! I am behind on my blog-reading and comment answering so I am slow to comment here, but I am truly honored. xx
Truly honored to be listed along with my favorite blogs and some great new discoveries. Thank you Tammy.
Hi Tammy,
I was just wondering, is kosher corned beef really better than non? I'm strictly kosher and don't even know what non kosher tastes like so I was wondering why its on your list of favorites.
{Tammy}: Faigie, It's the kosher style perhaps? I am referring to corned beef from a jewish deli, so I don't think that it is because the meat is kosher, but the style of preparing the beef, the rich flavor is nothing like the grocery deli type corned beef which might be more like salty roast beef. I guess it's hard to describe! I grew up in Pennsylvania and live in Texas, so good food like that is difficult to find. And bagels... don't get me started.
How did I miss this?? Thank you! Thank you.
