Celebrate Imperfection {Art Journal}
Wed, September 19, 2012 at 01:56PM Badges? You need badges?
Let's celebrate the imperfection of art journaling! The lack of matchy-matchy, the fun, the vivacious, the plain, the pastel, the bold, the scary, the ever-so-perfect quote against chaos, the lack of kits, the lack of perfection, the fun of it, the whatever-you-want-it-to-be.

No rules. No Kits.
It's the DOING that matters.
The finished page is just the finished page.
Please feel free to save a badge to your hard drive and place on your blog. To do that, right click on the image and save the file, then upload to your blog. There are three sizes - 250 px, 180 px, 125 px. Please do not edit the images in any way other than reducing the size to fit your space. I'd love it if you linked from your blog to this post or to Daisy Yellow so that others could get the badge too.
If you have a particular color wish, I might make more, so let me know. I would so appreciate your using the badges on your blogs to show that you value imperfection in your art journal. To spread the word that art journaling is truly without rules. That imperfection is absolutely OK.

As soon as I work out how to do it . . . me too! Imperfection is perfect!
Check out my blog today Tammy - you're a star!
Hello Tammy,
I have (most likely^^) written it before, but I do love your blog! Whenever I start reading a post, I suddenly feel like doing some art NOW. You' re such inspiration and motivation! I used to be like "aw, I need this, and this, and learn this and that and THEN I can start creating, because everything has to be perfect and so on..." and I have luckly gotten away from that,( but of not completely), and it's always so helpful to be remembered that perfection is not what art is all about!
best wishes from penny (used to be lucy, I think;) my too-many webnames...^^
Best wishes, and
Love, love, love the idea!
hooray!! just added the badge to my blog. love it!
These are great. I will post one on my journal blog. My first page was very stiff....as I go along...they are becoming a bit more free hand and creative. I love the freedom.
Amen!
I know you asked us not to edit the images in any way, but rules are made to be broken. I turned one black and white to display it on my blog. It's linking to this post. :) If you happen to make a black and white one at a later date I will use your black & white version instead. Or, if you would rather you can steal the black and white one I made from the footer of my website.
No blog... but I did add it to Pinterest!!!!!
Done! Thank you as always for your inspiration and encouragement!
Hi, thank you for adding a badge to your blog, for supporting the idea the art journaling is all about imperfection.
Hi Tammy! Love these badges and one can now be found on my blog with a link back to you. "Practice Imperfection" is one of my personal mantras. Thanks for sharing your wonderful work!!
