building a rainbow {5 more days of color} week #2

We're going to add funky colors to our rainbow this week!

    {learn more about the first phase of the challenge in this post}

Create art in one color each day this week: an art journal page, a sketch, a doodle, a painting, a mixed media work, embroidery, crochet.

Before you jump in and say how busy you are, we are all busy in December, but a bit of art certainly can help the mind and body! Think of it as a SANITY break amidst the CHAOS of the holidays! It's completely fine to do just one color, or one color per day, whatever works for you. But give it a shot.

[After this week, we take a break for the hollies!]

DECEMBER 8: PALE PINK or SALMON

DECEMBER 9: LEMON YELLOW or CHARTREUSE

    DECEMBER 10: PERIWINKLE or LAVENDER

    DECEMBER 11: BROWN or GREY

    DECEMBER 12:  RAINBOW!!!

    1. Make art with one color from the list as your focus. A bit of other color is fine. You can do any or all of the colors.
    2. The NEW art must be created by December 16th. Please follow the spirit of the challenge and use something created for this challenge.
    3. Post the artwork when you finish it, and pop over to Daisy Yellow and find the Linky Love post for that color. Add the URL to the artwork (your blog or flickr or instagram or whatever).

    COLOR HOSTESSES

    PALE PINK: tammy

    SALMON: syrens idyll

    LEMON YELLOW: caitlyn

    CHARTREUSE: tammy

    PERIWINKLE: pippa

    LAVENDER: marcia

    BROWN: carlene

    GREY: nathalie

    RAINBOW: shannon

{We have enough color hostesses, thank you all!} I'M LOOKING FOR NINE (9) COLOR HOSTESSES. IF YOU'D LIKE TO BE A HOSTESS PLEASE LEAVE YOUR NAME AND PREFERRED COLOR IN THE COMMENTS.  REQUIREMENT: The color hostess will post by 9 am EST a post highlighting the color of the day. The idea is to motivate + inspire folks to create with that color. You can create art using the color, a collage of the color, poetry about the color, prompts for the color, a flickr photomosaic of the color, even a pair of socks. Whatever you wish, and link back to the Daisy Yellow post for that color.

    I'll do Pale Pink

{Tammy} Cara, I didn't have a hostess for pink or chartreuse so I went ahead and did an intro for each! You are welcome to pop back in tomorrow and link into your piece for pink in the linky love. Thank you for volunteering, sorry it didn't work out!
