building a rainbow {5 days of color}: periwinkle or lavender

We're building a rainbow!!!

{the details are here in this post}

Create art in one color each day this week: an art journal page, a sketch, a doodle, a painting, a mixed media work, embroidery, crochet.

DECEMBER 8: PALE PINK or SALMON

DECEMBER 9: LEMON YELLOW or CHARTREUSE

DECEMBER 10: PERIWINKLE or LAVENDER

DECEMBER 11: BROWN or GREY

DECEMBER 12:  RAINBOW!!!

PERIWINKLE!

{our color hostess is Pippa and here is her wonderful intro to PERIWINKLE}

{i'm still working on art to honor one of my favorite colors}

LAVENDER!

{our color hostess is Marcia and here is her lovely intro to LAVENDER

this is my page for lavender, on 9x12" watercolor paper. The materials include acrylics, neocolors, found stamps, abstract stuff I've created, quotes etc. I like this challenge to "attempt to constrain" myself to one main color. I like how just a bit of other color brings out the main color, maybe it's about balance.

Thanks for letting me host today's colour, any time you want to do something like this in the future I'd be interested x

I started today by creating some lavender art. In other words, I started my day right! Hope you're all having a great day.
