Barga + Tuscany
Tue, November 6, 2012 at 10:52AM “As we live and as we are, Simplicity - with a capital "S" - is difficult to comprehend nowadays. We are no longer truly simple. We no longer live in simple terms or places. Life is a more complex struggle now. It is now valiant to be simple: a courageous thing to even want to be simple. It is a spiritual thing to comprehend what simplicity means.”
Frank Lloyd Wright

Our second hotel city of our trip to Italy was in Tuscany, a launching point for day trips to Barga, Lucca, Florence, Forte Dei Marmi, Castiglione and Garfagnana. The hotel was in the mountains and a lot of driving and traffic circles were involved. A beautiful countryside, fields of wine grapes, rolling hills, walled cities, really lovely. These are photographs from Barga, and in the days ahead I'll share the other cities we visited in Tuscany.

So beautiful, and so much color!
Love all the colors but especially the glorious patinas. Amazing! The 6th photo really stood out since the metal signage and the painted doors etc are matching!
Beautiful shots Tammy! I especially love the doors. Someday I will get to travel!
You take incredible photos, Tammy! I like most the first one, it looks surreal! :)
Beautiful. Love seeing somewhere that I would like to go someday. I like all the doors, colors and curves. The statues at the residences are interesting, so different from here. The density of houses in some areas is interesting to see as well.
Stunning photos Tammy! You have a wonderful eye! xx
I love these photos :) and I chuckled a little while looking at them. We tend to have the same photography subjects when we travel :)
