Art Journal: Childhood
Fri, January 2, 2009 at 04:03PM "Have a good time,
make life cheerful and bright,
dance if you want to,
sing if you can,
play as long as you live
and leave the world with a smile."
~ Lemuel Washburn

Digging through his attic, my father found a set of slides I'd not seen before. So many surprises, including a photograph of my cousins from the early 1960's in Pennsylvania, before I was born. They were poking their heads out the back window of a blue car. I love those red shirts against the pale blues and grays.
It reminds me of carefree days, being a kid and not caring what the future holds. Just right for starting the new year, full of excitement for what the year holds!
