Did you know I'm teaching at 21 Secrets this year?
In Part 1 of the workshop, you'll learn how to create an urban layer cake.
In Part 2, you'll learn how to create a grunge gradient.
These techniquest are the ultimate defense against perfectionism in your artwork - they are grungy, messy, textured, and great for creating all sorts of art journal backgrounds. There are also a bunch of journal prompts to use with this technique.
Here are some comments from the Urban Layer Cake workshop:
"Thank you Tammy for a wonderful class, I loved it so much because the results are almost immediate (which is fab for someone like me that needs to see results) and it's adaptable (as we've discovered there are so many things that we could use to add texture to the background), the colours chosen really make a difference so I'll be experimenting with lots of colours in the future." ~ D
"I've never had the courage to play with texture on my art journal pages before (wouldn't have known where to start!) and this class has opened that up for me, both the technique itself and seeing the variations on it." ~ L
"This has been a good growth experience for me... I like the result and can see how useful the technique is for my journal. I am really working on letting go and being in the moment with all the imperfections!" ~ A
"I am loving this technique, Tammy! EVERYONE'S work is so fabulous, and creative, and such a pleasure to look at! This would be a fantastic technique to use on the cover of a journal!" ~ K
