"The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts."
~ Marcus Aurelius
Here's where I get analytical. The altered paper catalog is moving toward completion. Or so I thought. When I actually counted, I'd completed(backgrounds with or without journaling) 19 of the 30 two page spreads or 66%. So I've got two alterations in process - this catalog and a hardback book. I found a few more hardbacks at the discount store and they are waiting patiently...
For the first layer of this 8 x 12 spread, I attached cardstock to the catalog with Mod Podge to strengthen the pages. On top, I collaged layers upon layers of magazine clippings, excerpts from my "100 Things" list, paint chips, cardstock scraps, and a page from an old elementary math textbook. Sponged gesso here and there to fade some sections out, added alphabet lettering, doodled with Sakura Gellyrolls, and edged with Caran D'Ache Neocolor II crayons. This quote made so much sense to me. You choose what you think about. Choose well.
