Altered Book: pink.blue rev 2.1

I'm building on pages I started earlier this fall. You can find the background of this 10"x12" children's book at Altered Book: pink.blue. Working from the original collaged background, I added more images, a funky, confident girl with flowers, neocolors, golden fluid acrylics and rubber stamps.

Building these collage girls is addictive and challenging. To get the proportions and angles correct, searching through mags & catalogs in search of parts. My older daughter is working in her own altered hardback, and she built two girls in beautiful dresses on a background of white gesso for her book.

Art journaling for DAY 27 of NaNoJouMo! I did this a few days late, but I am definitely finishing this challenge! There is space for journaling, should I get to that at some point.

Check out the other pages in the tekenfilm altered children's book project.
