Altered Book: pink.blue rev 1.1
Mon, September 14, 2009 at 05:00AM "Don't be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better. What if they are a little course, and you may get your coat soiled or torn? What if you do fail, and get fairly rolled in the dirt once or twice. Up again, you shall never be so afraid of a tumble."
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Continuing my latest project, which is so fresh and fun! I've taken a 10"x12" children's book and have started adding paint, gesso, ephemera and generally getting it messy! I used a brayer and an old credit card to move the paint around. Above, pink.blue, has alternating layers of paint and ephemera, stamped with found stamps and acrylic paint. I used part of my grocery list on this page (my goal of using a bit of a list on each page). Ideas for you at How to Use Lists in Art Journals. The final version of this page is at Altered Book: Pink.Blue rev 2.1.
Check out the other pages in the tekenfilm altered children's book project.

I'm starting to add lists to my Art Journal. I'm not normally one for lists, but at the moment I'm keeping one about the dreams I've had, films I've seen, and a page where I write down my frustration about the 'no more crap diet' I'm on. ;) Will be blogging about my lists soon, need a few more entries on them first..
I LOVE the quote.
Think I need to print that big & put in my studio!
