If you can't draw something, the best thing to do is practice.
And then practice some more.
This is my first attempt at drawing faces. On each little face, I started with the nose. A bunch were actually drawn upside dwn, so I could focus on the lines rather than worrying that it needed to look like a face.
Quote of the week from my daughter (9): "Vocabulary, you know, the part of your brain where all the words you know are kept!"
Big smiles!!! The first sale at the Daisy Yellow Shop! The stitched Next Few Days Daisy Journal has made its way to Australia and is in the trusty hands of my friend Sam!

What you say is true - practice, practice, practice! I used to try to draw every day and I am slacking. Love your DD's quote... they say the obvious so well, don't they?
Thanks for your inspiration - I am so glad I found you! =)
Your daughter sounds sweet:) I love all those faces--that is one thing I NEED to practice--faces, but I've been avoiding it. I need to just start if I eve want to feel comfortable drawing them. Thanks for this reminder!
LOVE your faces. They are intimidating, but I've been trying lately, too! :)
