94 Faces

5x8" moleskine, pitt pen, ink + calligraphy pen

If you can't draw something, the best thing to do is practice.

And then practice some more.

This is my first attempt at drawing faces. On each little face, I started with the nose. A bunch were actually drawn upside dwn, so I could focus on the lines rather than worrying that it needed to look like a face.

Quote of the week from my daughter (9): "Vocabulary, you know, the part of your brain where all the words you know are kept!"

Big smiles!!! The first sale at the Daisy Yellow Shop! The stitched Next Few Days Daisy Journal has made its way to Australia and is in the trusty hands of my friend Sam!

What you say is true - practice, practice, practice! I used to try to draw every day and I am slacking. Love your DD's quote... they say the obvious so well, don't they?

Thanks for your inspiration - I am so glad I found you! =)

Your daughter sounds sweet:) I love all those faces--that is one thing I NEED to practice--faces, but I've been avoiding it. I need to just start if I eve want to feel comfortable drawing them. Thanks for this reminder!

I just started art journaling this year- I am so excited about this unique idea. i have a terrible time with faces/ well, drawing people in any aspect- so, I am off to give this a try- and how fun it will be to have this in my journal. I am going to try a lot of the experiments you have listed! Wow! thanks.
